Commonly referred to as the rear liner and front liner, these components form the internal casing surfaces that are in direct contact with abrasive slurry. They protect the pump casing from wear, maintain hydraulic efficiency, and provide a replaceable sacrificial layer that significantly reduces maintenance costs.

What Are Frame Plate Liner and Cover Plate Liner?

In a horizontal slurry pump, the pump casing is divided into two main sections:

• Frame Plate Liner: Installed on the frame side of the pump.

• Cover Plate Liner: Installed on the suction or cover side of the pump.

Together with the throatbush and impeller, these liners create the pump’s hydraulic chamber and provide wear-resistant protection against highly abrasive slurries.
